Bud was trained as a cutting horse with NCHA earnings of $21,213. He moved to a guest ranch where he was tried as a guest horse but that lifestyle wasn’t suited to him. He remembers all of his training, he’s incredibly responsive and he gives to extremely light touches. Bud has a great gait, turns well and gets back on his hind end well. He stands like a gentleman for the farrier, he stands calmly when tied and he loads and unloads in a trailer easily. He has a scar on his back right leg from an old barbed wire wound but it’s topical only with no resulting soundness issues. He crosses water, opens gates, goes out on the trail and loves arena time. Bud is difficult to catch out in the pasture but he comes to grain. He’s got very sensitive ears but I just unbuckle the headstall to slip it over his ears and he takes the bit easily. He’s smart, he’s eager to please and willing to work hard for one person who will give him all the love and time he deserves.
