Valentino Hayes SK aka “Coal Train” is a real head turner. Coal is a stocky blue roan gelding standing at 15.2 hands. He has good, thick bone and good, solid feet. He has a huge personality and is a very sweet, in-your-pocket horse. Coal is lightly started in the roping pen on the head side. He has turned 10-15 steers. He has worked at the race track for the last 3 years at Santa Anita and Del Mar in Southern California. He has ponied millions of dollars worth of horses from around the world at the Breeders’ Cup. Coal loves to be on camera and the center of attention. He’s a very forward horse with a big walk and jog and very smooth lope. He has been trail ridden extensively, in groups or by yourself, through town or up in the mountains, across the water and over logs. He’s been to a few Cowboy Mounted Shooting practices to set the balloons. He has not been shot off of, but did not care about the gun fire. Coal has done a few Gymkhana play days and loves it. He has speed and will go all day like his pedigree suggests. We are downsizing our herd as we are getting closer to retirement.
