Cowboy is what I like to call reliable and predictable. I purchased Cowboy in 2021. I used Cowboy as a hunting horse and to gather cows in the fall. He’s a great pack horse, he has no issue crossing water. He does good on hobbles, he has packed multiple elk out for me. I was never worried about him doing anything dumb when we were 10 miles in the back country by ourselves. He is one of those horses that you can leave in pasture for a half year and just jump on him bareback and ride him around. I only used him about 20 days out of the year. He stops good, he turns good. In a pack he is not the horse that always wants to be in front, he would rather be in the back. You can put shoes on him and trim him without any issues.
