LITTLE JOHN – 2021 GRADE Black Crossbred Pony Gelding
Little John is a half Belgian half Pony gelding, standing 13.1 hands tall, wears a number one shoe and weighs around 1000lbs. He is gentle, smart and athletic. This gelding may be short but he’s wide as he is tall and has penalty of bone and shape to carry around most any size of rider! Little John is broke to ride and drive, he’s broke to drive single or double. He was broke to drive first and has a lot of experience pulling a cart and buggy. He has been primarily a saddle horse for the last 8 months. We have used Little John to gather cattle, drag calves to the fire, load and unload trucks, trail and pleasure ride, and just about anything else you can think of. This gelding may be on the shorter side but he can do any job a tall horse can do. He’s stout, strong, and has lots of heart. Little John matches his rider, he can go as fast as you need or as slow as you need. He’s not only a ranch horse he does very well on the trails as well. He can be in the front, middle, or back of the string. This gelding has a very smooth walk, trot and lope which makes him a pleasure to ride.
