Rooster is a solid ranch horse. Reliable, easy to get along with, and rides to the level of his rider. He is the one I trust to take a kid in front of me, let my 84 year old dad ride, or go doctor yearlings and enjoy the day. He is a good traveler, knows how to get through the rough country, pick his way through the rocks and badger holes, or fight down timber, bogs, creeks, etc. He has had a true ranching job, doctored outside, and branded a zillion calves. Young ropers get along with him well letting them focus on learning how to rope rather than fighting with a green horse. He rides one handed in any bridle you put on him and is safe. He has an “all business” attitude and doesn’t quit until the job is done, yet not a busy/ nervous type of horse either. Good to shoe, loads in any type of trailer, and stands tied politely. Rooster stands 15.1, and is stout made with excellent bone and foot. In the right country he can be used barefoot and holds up great. Just an all-around nice horse that most anyone should get along with and enjoy. The perfect trail partner for the weekend rider as he can handle time off and remain safe.
